Camouflage at the office may sound a little crazy ... but is it really?
If you're like me and work in an office that doesn't demand business or business casual wear every day, this military-inspired trend can easily be worked into your 9-to-5 wardrobe -- as long as you follow a few rules.
Rule #1: Neutralize the busy pattern with modest accessories. This would be the day to skip that highlighter orange statement necklace and let the camo do the talking. Trust me, it will be loud enough. Rule #2: To avoid looking too casual, stick to structured basics such as a bold-shouldered blazer or crisp blouse.
Rule #3: If opting for high heels, keep them modest -- less than three inches is always a good choice.
Rule #4: Keep hair neat and tidy with a trendy top knot or perfect ponytail -- That cool, Kristen Stewart-inspired side sweep is better left for another day.
Rule #5: Fit. Is. Everything. In order for camo to look less military and more mature, opt for a snug fit that flatters and shows no sign of bagging, sagging or general wear and tear. After all, you don't want to look like GI Jane.

Wearing camo can take a bit of confidence, especially when attempting to wear it in an unconventional arena such as an office. But with a few rules in mind, it can add a fun new element to your at-work attire.
